Laughter at The Lounge, Preston’s monthly comedy club, returns this August with another exceptional line up of stand-up talent, bringing together three of the UK’s most exciting comedians for an unforgettable night of live entertainment.
Taking place on Friday 7 August 2026, the latest edition of the popular comedy night will feature performances from Karen Bayley, Sandro Ford, and Elliot Steel, each bringing their own unique style of comedy to The Guild Lounge.
Held on the first Friday of every month, Laughter at The Lounge has quickly become a must visit event for comedy fans, highlighting a carefully curated mix of established names and rising stars from across the UK comedy circuit.
Leading the August line-up is Karen Bayley, one of the UK’s most respected stand-up comedians. Known for her fearless humour, razor sharp one-liners and infectious stage presence, Karen became the first female winner of The Comedy Store’s prestigious King Gong competition. She has toured alongside comedy favourites Joe Lycett and Jason Manford, performing to audiences across the UK and internationally.
Joining Karen is Sandro Ford, a fast-rising comedian whose sharp observations, brilliant storytelling and unapologetically honest style have earned him a loyal following. As co-host of the popular Problematic Pub Podcast, Sandro has also appeared on Have a Word, Dead Men Talking and Hot Water Green Room. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, growing up, getting older and the unforgettable characters found in and around pubs, he is quickly becoming one of the most exciting names on the comedy circuit.
Completing the lineup is Elliot Steel, one of British comedy’s brightest young talents. Performing stand-up since the age of 16, Elliot has appeared on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4 as well as performing at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Comedy Store, Hot Water Comedy Club, and many of the UK’s leading comedy venues. Renowned for his intelligent, fearless, and unpredictable style, Elliot consistently delivers performances that leave audiences wanting more.
